We advocate for targeted coagulation management using viscoelastic testing (VET) as the optimal approach for managing blood product transfusion in cases of hemorrhage. Currently, there are several VET devices available both in Australia and globally. Drawing from over 12 years of experience, we have utilized both the ROTEM delta and ROTEM sigma devices extensively in our clinical practice based in Western Australia. On this website, we have provided educational resources specifically for ROTEM for over 6 years but would now like to offer links and educational materials relevant to all currently available devices listed below. Our belief is that individualised care based on viscoelastic testing with any device is better than blind or empiric therapy. We hope you find these resources valuable.
